In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2020, she redirected the company’s focus and launched its first branch, a small nail bar in Northriding. With only four ladies employed initially, the business quickly gained traction, and within six months, the team had grown to 21 talented and passionate professionals.

Eve Onboard expanded rapidly, and by the end of its first year, the brand had nearly 50 dedicated female employees. Currently, Eve Group proudly employs 121 people (120 of which are women), reflecting their commitment to empowering women in the workforce.

Today, under the Eve Onboard umbrella, six branches thrive, each catering to a diverse clientele, irrespective of race or gender, offering top-notch beauty services.

The company’s vision of empowerment and excellence extends beyond beauty services. It houses Eve Beauty Academy, a training ground for aspiring beauticians, providing hands-on experience through Eve Student Clinic at discounted rates. This succession plan aims to shape the next generation of skilled beauty professionals. Recognizing the importance of supporting graduates, she also founded Eve Recruitment. The platform connects her students with potential employers in the beauty industry, further strengthening the sector.

Eve Group, in response to South Africa’s high unemployment rate, recently launched a transformative youth initiative called Eve Youth Empowerment Initiative. The organization created free beauty courses exclusively for young individuals under the age of 35. This comprehensive training equips them with essential beauty skills and knowledge.
Upon completing the course, these young individuals are given the opportunity to be employed across all of Eve Group’s brands.

This initiative not only provides much-needed employment but also exposes the youth to diverse roles within the beauty industry. This youth initiative is a powerful step towards curbing unemployment and fostering a generation of skilled professionals, as Eve Group continues to make a positive impact on society through their commitment to social responsibility.

Eve Nail & Beauty Professional Beauty Supplies, another branch under Eve Group, brings innovation to fellow beauty salon owners, supplying cutting-edge beauty products to elevate their services and delight their customers.

Never content with standing still, her vision led to the recent conceptualization of a high-end spa called Eve Luxury, setting new standards in pampering and relaxation. The spa is scheduled to open on the 15th of September in Sandton and will offer unique internationally inspired treatments, providing a haven of luxury and rejuvenation.

Staying true to her original dream, she also realized Eve On The Go, a wellness on-location brand catering to corporate companies and events. This innovative concept brings spa services, mental health talks, dieticians, physical therapists, stylists, and health and financial advisory services right to the workplace, promoting wellness and balance.
